Channel Valve and Seat Guards

Channel valve assemblies for all makes of compressors

CECO upgraded the material used for all channel seats and guards to Nodular Cast Iron from the Grey Cast Iron used by our competitors. Nodular Cast Iron provides a stronger valve with increased flexibility. According to ASTM specifications, nodular has 50% more tensile strength and 18% more elongation. The result is longer service life and less opportunity for seats and guards to break and cause damage to the cylinders.

Features
Benefits
Manufactured from nodular iron which is more ductile and has a greater tensile strength than gray iron. Nodular iron valves are stronger and have a longer life than gray iron valves. Fewer valve replacements due to premature failure. Less compressor downtime. Decreased maintenance costs.
CNC machining to insure uniform quality, dimensions and tolerances. Exact interchangeability with I-R valves. Easy to place CECO valves in service. Maximum efficiency of compressor operation.
Valves are available in the new style with screw on guides or the old style with doweled guides. Choice of style is up to the customer. Eliminates need to change maintenance procedures. Eliminates cost of purchasing new style guides, seatplates and seats.
100% Inspection and low pressure air testing to simulate actual operation. No inspection or testing required by customer. Eliminates rejecting parts and resulting downtime.
Very close attention paid to flatness and finish of all seating surfaces as well as internal valve components. Fewer valve replacements due to premature failure. Less compressor downtime. Decreased maintenance costs.
Large inventory and immediate shipment. Less compressor downtime. Reduced inventory costs.
