Initial
Inspection
We inspect for unusual wear patterns, part breakage and lubrication characteristics. Customers are notified of significant findings, such as not enough oil, water contamination, channel rolling due to improper installation, carbon deposits, etc.
Cleaning
The valve must be free of oil, rust, dirt, etc. for a proper evaluation.
Proper
Dimensioning
The limiting dimensions are measured on all seats and guards. This provides information as to the specific machining required to restore the valve to its original specifications.
It also determines if the seat and guard are above the minimum thickness requirements.
Machining
All seats and guards are returned to original dimensions for peak operating efficiency. The seats and guards are ground parallel, and the seats are lapped to an 8-16 RMS finish.
All lifts and guard dimensions are machined to original specifications; spring pocket depths are milled if necessary, and the gasket surfaces are touched up (.001-.003).
Assembly
The valve is dimensionally inspected again to insure that the machining process successfully restored the original specifications.

Air
Testing
This final test simulates the operation of a valve in a compressor. This test provides the confidence that the valves will perform as designed when installed in your compressor.
Rust
Prevention
We dip each valve in a rust inhibitor and
seal it in shrink wrap. This process protects the valve
for long-term storage.
Proper Identification This step prevents confusion when the valves are returned to you. Each valve is specifically labeled so it can easily be identified. We label it with the valve part number, description (inlet or discharge), and any other information you require (such as stock or inventory numbers).
