Customer agrees to let CECO convert their existing packing rings to CECO LEP (low emission packing). Customer to verify that the condition of rod is in good working order (free from scratches, gouges, and has proper surface finish) and that packing case cups are within industry standards for tolerance. If customer is unsure, they may send to CECO for reconditioning or repair, and CECO will provide no-cost installation of new LEP packing.

CECO will advise customer on selecting of proper material, installation and sequence of new LEP packing for their specific application. Customer will provide CECO with data including current suction and discharge temperatures and pressures, current packing ring life and advise if they currently monitor emissions and method used.

Customer will pay for LEP packing under standard CECO terms of sale. If packing ring leakage is improved, customer gets lower emissions, less lost gas, saves money on downtime and maintenance. If leakage is not improved, customer agrees to return CECO packing for inspection. CECO will advise customer of findings and if leakage is found to be either process or mechanically related, CECO will suggest possible causes and offer repair services. If packing is found to be cause, customer will be credited for the purchase price of packing. Reconditioning and repair is not subject to credit.
