HOUSTON, TEXAS. JULY 26, 2004 - Richard Hotze, President, Compressor Engineering Corporation (CECO), headquartered in Houston, Texas proudly announced today that its Board of Directors has promoted Joe Miniot to Vice President of Sales.

Reporting directly to Mr. Hotze, Mr. Miniot will direct the CECO sales force, developing significant strategic initiatives to continue the plan for growth and continued financial success.

CECO is the world's largest independent manufacturer of engine and compressor replacement parts. Customers include gas pipelines, gathering and processing companies, petrochemical, industrial and refrigeration plants worldwide. CECO, headquartered in Houston, also has offices in Odessa, Texas, and New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

Beginning his career with the company in 1982 in sales, Mr. Miniot has held various positions of increasing responsibility including Sales Representative and District Sales Manager. Miniot has a wealth of sales experience in petrochemical, pipeline and industrial air markets. Miniot holds a B.B.A. from the University of Iowa.

Miniot, his wife, Laura, and their two sons Ryan (13) and Daniel (8) reside in Friendswood, Texas. They are all active with the Boy Scouts of America.
