HOUSTON, TEXAS. JULY 22, 2004 - Richard Hotze, President, Compressor Engineering Corporation (CECO), headquartered in Houston, Texas, proudly announced today that its Board of Directors has promoted Gene Thompson to Vice President, Engineering and Manufacturing. Reporting directly to Mr. Hotze, Mr. Thompson will direct CECO engineering efforts and product development, as well
as be responsible for manufacturing at all product and precision repair facilities. In addition, he will be directly responsible for CECO’s Quality Assurance efforts.
In making the announcement, Mr. Hotze said, "We are very pleased to promote from within and to recognize Gene for his contributions to our company. Gene has trained under the finest compressor engineers in the world and is uniquely qualified to join our executive team."
Thompson graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and joined CECO in 1988. Since that time, he has held positions of increasing responsibility including Project Engineer, Design Engineer, Engineering Supervisor, Engineering/Manufacturing Manager and Chief Engineer.
Thompson, his wife, Leigh Ann, and their three children, Adam (6), Allison, (4) and Luke (2)
reside in Cypress, Texas. Mr. Thompson enjoys outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing.
