CECO
custom-designs the durMAX™ actuators and unloaders for maximum gas transmission
compressor efficiency. Built to API specifications, CECO durMAX™ actuators
provide safe, dependable automation to your compressor clearance
pockets and unloaders. By supervising installation and training
station personnel, CECO assures the successful commissioning and
operation of these custom- designed actuators.
CECO
can also fit your clearance
pockets with pneumatic unloaders to automatically change capacity
with varying operating
conditions. |
The operating air pressure compresses a spring (1), to close the opening between the compressor cylinder and pocket. When air pressure is lost or shut off, the spring releases and the actuator opens. We use two cast iron rings on the plunger guide (2) which allows for a slight radial float. The plunger (3) which this guide fits into is heat treated 4140 steel and hardened to 30- 32 RC, giving long trouble-free operation. CECO actuators conform to API specs with double O-rings in the shaft sealing area (4). The covered sight glass (5) gives a visual indication of closed or open position.
The operating shaft (6) is chrome plated, high strength alloy steel and noncorrosive. The operating cylinder (7) is nickel plated, giving a noncorrosive wear surface for a long service life. We require only one air supply line to the actuator. Some competitors use a pilot valve which requires that three lines must be run to each actuator.
